App Overview

PeduliLindung is the official app from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. This app was developed to identify the contact history status or Covid-19 cases of users and their vaccination status, register & download vaccine certificates, scan QR codes for check-in/out, etc.

Case Study Background

Since mid-2021, vaccines have started to become a mandatory thing for every level of Indonesian society, which is a requirement for traveling/entering public places. Then around the middle of October, vaccination is also a mandatory requirement to be able to receive social assistance from the government in several regions. Because of this, the vaccine place became crowded and many people went home first after the vaccine without taking the vaccine letter & certificate because they had to wait a long time. The alternative is that they can download it through the PeduliLindung app. Because the new user is not only from a young age it is important to provide an interface & experience that can help the new user meet their needs easily. From these problems, it can be known & formulated a hypothesis that the need for new users to use the app is to view/download vaccine certificates.

Case Study Goals

Redesign the user interface, information architecture, and flow to provide an experience that can help new users meet their needs easily and effectively. This study case only focuses on the features that are most frequently used by users: vaccine certificates and scan QR code.
